Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Brisighella's Domenico Di Domenico started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dino De Cesaris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio De Angelis went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Domenico Di Domenico came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Brisighella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Di Domenico couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Demaria in the 13th minute of play forced Brisighella's goalkeeper Adriano Beattie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Brisighella's goalkeeper Adriano Beattie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Gori. Edoardo Ronca hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Gori got free with Adriano Beattie in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adriano Beattie came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Superga's Fausto Gori. But to his dismay, Fausto Gori quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Superga were furious when Elia Nazzari was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Superga:s Dino De Cesaris showed great skill when he stopped Ermanno Calabrese:s penalty. After 32 minutes, Dennis Molinari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Superga and the Brisighella players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antonio De Angelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Antonio De Angelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Domenico Di Domenico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Superga's Dino De Cesaris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Fausto Gori came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Superga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Gori couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Ettore Guidoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Superga's Dino De Cesaris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio De Angelis in the 48th minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Gori was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Donadoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dino De Cesaris made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Antonio De Angelis sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ettore Guidoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Superga's supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Guidoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Beattie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino De Cesaris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Di Domenico, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Brisighella's Domenico Di Domenico got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francesco Patricelli's late challenge caught a Brisighella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francesco Patricelli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Francesco Patricelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adriano Beattie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Gori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Gori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Fausto Gori made a precise shot to the right of Adriano Beattie. Brisighella's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Antonio De Angelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
