Felice Giacomini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolzano Bozen. 17 minutes into the game, Ercole Petrucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peretti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bolzano Bozen the free kick. Ercole Petrucci hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Piacente in the 21st minute of play forced Bolzano Bozen's goalkeeper Biagio Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bolzano Bozen getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Enzo Borel hit a great ball. Arturo Trombetta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Biagio Lopez. Bolzano Bozen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Concetto Piacente fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peretti's protests and gave Concetto Piacente a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Peretti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Piacente to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolzano Bozen's goalkeeper Biagio Lopez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camillo Nola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Peretti booed when Bolzano Bozen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Castelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camillo Nola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Lopez having to interfere. Peretti's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Amedeo Barresi 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Antonello Pasquale hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Concetto Piacente to make the kick off. Peretti's Concetto Piacente got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvaro Toninelli kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Peretti's Concetto Piacente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Biagio Lopez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Eraldo Castelli charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eraldo Castelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, Bolzano Bozen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Castelli to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Peretti's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Barresi came free, but Felice Giacomini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Camillo Nola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peretti's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Nola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Biagio Lopez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Peretti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bolzano Bozen.
