A collision led to Manicomio Mombello AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Fulvio Rizzo hit a great ball. When Dave Landolfi fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prospiano's protests and gave Dave Landolfi a yellow card for diving instead. 14 minutes into the game, Dario Raiola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cesare Zuccarini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dario Raiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cesare Zuccarini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Manicomio Mombello AFC's Ermanno Montagna got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Dario Raiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesare Zuccarini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Raiola, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Prospiano's Comunardo Quercia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Prospiano from getting a goal against them. Dario Raiola might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesare Zuccarini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dario Raiola ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Ragazzoni made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio De Lucia during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alessio Di Sipio charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessio Di Sipio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alessio Di Sipio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Cristoforo Caroli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 65th minute of the match Dave Landolfi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dave Landolfi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dave Landolfi kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Cristoforo Caroli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Quercia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Comunardo Quercia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristoforo Caroli went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Comunardo Quercia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Ragazzoni in the 71st minute of play. Comunardo Quercia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Ragazzoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Dennis Ragazzoni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comunardo Quercia. Prospiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dennis Ragazzoni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Manicomio Mombello AFC's Dennis Ragazzoni in 80 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Comunardo Quercia guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Dennis Ragazzoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Comunardo Quercia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Prospiano's Davide Guerini got a free kick in the 85th minute. Dario Raiola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesare Zuccarini came out of the goal and Achille Schiacciacasse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Ermanno Montagna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ciro Lombardi in the 97th minute really tested Cesare Zuccarini's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
