After 21 played minutes, San Pancrazio's Bernardo Ferraro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adriano Cesareo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Pancrazio reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anfilogino Juliano in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriano Cesareo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Malalbergo's Adriano Cesareo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Di Berardino in the 25th minute of play. San Pancrazio were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Malalbergo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo Ferraro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bernardo Ferraro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adriano Cesareo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of San Pancrazio booed when Malalbergo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edoardo Coscia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes Malalbergo got a freekick which was hit by Ferruccio Cavallucci. Anfilogino Juliano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dave Di Berardino fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Pancrazio's protests and gave Dave Di Berardino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Dave Di Berardino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio De Bartolo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Violento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anfilogino Juliano to make the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malalbergo's goalkeeper Adriano Cesareo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adriano Cesareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Juliano in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Malalbergo getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Enrico Costa hit a great ball. Enrico Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Anfilogino Juliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anfilogino Di Croce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 87 minutes into the match, San Pancrazio's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio De Bartolo came free, but Eugenio Violento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
