The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Testi during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ercolano FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Alberto Testi hit a great ball. A collision led to Sambatello AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dennis Troiani hit a great ball. Ercolano FC's Alvise Ronca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro De Cesaris in the 14th minute of play. Ciro Tassotti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvaro De Cesaris succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. When Alvaro De Cesaris came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Sambatello AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro De Cesaris couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ercolano FC defense, Ciro Tassotti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvise Ronca. The Ercolano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvise Ronca should have stopped the shot. When Ciro Tassotti came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Sambatello AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Tassotti couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, Ciccio Toccaceli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ercolano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sambatello AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ercolano FC's Ciccio Toccaceli got a free kick in the 35th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Eugenio Castrucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sambatello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Castrucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ercolano FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sambatello AFC were winning 0-2.

Ciro Tassotti succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 52nd playminute. Ciro Tassotti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Alvaro De Cesaris made a precise shot to the right of Alvise Ronca. Ercolano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 64 minutes into the match, Ercolano FC's Armin Ronconi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arrigo Liaci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Dennis Troiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armin Ronconi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Alberto Testi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arrigo Liaci. Sambatello AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Testi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Armin Ronconi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro De Cesaris in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvise Ronca saved Ercolano FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Tassotti got free with Alvise Ronca in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Ronconi in the 85th minute of play forced Sambatello AFC's goalkeeper Arrigo Liaci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Biagio Violento kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
