Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Menichini in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Giancola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emiliano Di Ruscio's late challenge caught a Carpinello's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Di Ruscio helped the player get up and apologised. 12 minutes into the match, Gallina's Bruno Menichini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Giancola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gallina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Menichini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Carpinello's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Menichini came free, but Dario Giancola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Giancola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter Panico, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Davide Pietrangelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dario Giancola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filippo Falone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davide Pietrangelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Giancola having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Emiliano Di Ruscio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Domenico Cieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Centofanti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domenico Cieri's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Carpinello's Domenico Cieri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davide Pietrangelo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Giancola saved Carpinello from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Filippo Falone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpinello's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippo Falone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Centofanti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Carpinello left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gallina.
