An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Manzo in the 16th minute of play forced Pontevigodarzere FC's goalkeeper Adriano Gerosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvise Nardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Adriano Gerosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pontevigodarzere FC's goalkeeper Adriano Gerosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eraldo Vinci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Bani having to interfere. If Francesco Manzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Gerosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Manzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Di Falco charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Di Falco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute Alvise Nardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Gerosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Nardi in the 46th minute of play forced Pontevigodarzere FC's goalkeeper Adriano Gerosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Fedele Cardella took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fabrizio Bani to make any attempt to save it.

After 64 minutes, Carmine Brambilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sasso Marconi AFC and the Pontevigodarzere FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Carmine Brambilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Fedele Cardella made a precise shot to the right of Fabrizio Bani. Sasso Marconi AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Edoardo Zollino kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A beautiful save bye Pontevigodarzere FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dino Lusi's late challenge caught a Pontevigodarzere FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino Lusi helped the player get up and apologised. Fedele Cardella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fedele Cardella in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrizio Bani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Francesco Manzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adriano Gerosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvise Nardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Adriano Piccirilli fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontevigodarzere FC's protests and gave Adriano Piccirilli a yellow card for diving instead. Adriano Piccirilli hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Pontevigodarzere FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
