Dino Chizzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Diego Mussi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Beppe Fracassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beppe Fracassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Mariano, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Alberto De Paolis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Chizzo having to interfere. Achille Molinaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dino Chizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Molinaro in the 19th minute of play forced Persichello FC's goalkeeper Dino Chizzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cangia's Antonio Di Federico got a free kick in the 24th minute. Beppe Fracassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Mariano, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Alberto De Paolis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dino Chizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Chizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto De Paolis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Chizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Molinaro in the 38th minute of the match. Dino Chizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Di Federico in the 40th minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Attilio Mariano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cangia's Beppe Fracassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Cangia's goalkeeper Beppe Fracassi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Mussi. After the first half Cangia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Attilio Mariano was the one to do the kick off. If Achille Molinaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Donato Delle Donne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangia's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Delle Donne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Chizzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Persichello FC's Dino Chizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Molinaro in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute, Enrico Palermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Treglia didn't quite understand what happened when in the 81 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After a defensive mix-up in Persichello FC's zone, Achille Molinaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Chizzo came out of the goal and Achille Molinaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Persichello FC's Augusto Mameli got a free kick in the 88th minute. Alberto De Paolis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Persichello FC's Attilio Mariano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beppe Fracassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Cangia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Persichello FC throughout the match.
