Armando Gigli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Gigli in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Comunardo Natalucci, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Vittorio in the 35th minute of play forced Paluello AFC's goalkeeper Ernesto Savoia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulvio Del Monaco in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Savoia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Aldo Vittorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Aversa during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulvio Del Monaco made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Nicola's goalkeeper Comunardo Natalucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Santa Nicola's Alexander Caroselli seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alexander Caroselli the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santa Nicola protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alexander Caroselli had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
