Cosimo Salvagnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amerigo Apolloni might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosimo Salvagnin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amerigo Apolloni ran back to his position shaking his head. Novara AFC's Ferruccio Cinque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Maggi in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Novara AFC's Amerigo Apolloni ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cosimo Salvagnin. Cosimo Salvagnin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Terrasi during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Novara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Terrasi to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Dave Maggi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Novara AFC's Ferruccio Cinque. Ferruccio Cinque was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciccio Mancini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferruccio Cinque. Novara AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dave Maggi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Bondi kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Ferruccio Cinque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Maggi's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Fabiano Piccioli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ferruccio Cinque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amerigo Apolloni made a kick off. Ferruccio Cinque was a little too slow when Anselmo Di Lello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Ciccio Mancini kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Emanuele Chiarelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Albinea's zone, Emanuele Chiarelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosimo Salvagnin came out of the goal and Emanuele Chiarelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute Amerigo Apolloni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Salvagnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Emanuele Chiarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuele Chiarelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosimo Salvagnin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuele Chiarelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosimo Salvagnin having to make a save. Amerigo Apolloni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cosimo Salvagnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amerigo Apolloni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Piccini shot from long distance in the 81st minute, but Ferruccio Cinque was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Novara AFC's Emanuele Chiarelli got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amerigo Apolloni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Salvagnin having to interfere. Albinea's Cosimo Salvagnin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Apolloni in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Albinea had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
