Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felice Stefano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Pallotta in the 30th minute of play. Augusto Tofani scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felice Stefano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Augusto Tofani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Felice Stefano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emiliano Rosato came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Giovanico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Rosato couldn't finish the play. Alex Spinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Emiliano Rosato in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Donato Pallotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Amos Finocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Spinelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Giovanico fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Giovanico's Emiliano Rosato looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 63 minutes, Alex Spinelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giovanico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Spinelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pozzi were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Giovanico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alessandro De Tommasi took the corner. After having played for 81 minutes, Alex Spinelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giovanico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Spinelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
