The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristiano Tomei scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvise Giansante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Marini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Scarinci having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthony Di Maria in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Scarinci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Tomei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Cala hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Ciccio Di Maria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Di Maria scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damiano Scarinci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvise Giansante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Tomei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caramagna FC's Alvise Giansante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Tomei in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Dave Marini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. A very good chance. The supporters of Porrona booed when Caramagna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Cala didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Porrona got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Garofalo. Caramagna FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
