Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francesco Di Gaetano kicked off to start the match. Porrona's Cristiano Tomei got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Zulli's late challenge caught a Porrona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Zulli helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bavari's Alex Zulli got a free kick in the 15th minute. Francesco Di Gaetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Ercole Fallito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Damiano Scarinci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ciccio Di Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Fanfarone having to interfere. If Cristiano Tomei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Cristiano Tomei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Porrona booed when Bavari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Zulli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciccio Di Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Fanfarone having to interfere. After the first half Bavari were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Tomei to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes, Bavari's Edmondo Castronovo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damiano Scarinci came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bavari reached it. Arrigo Fanfarone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Tomei in the 53rd minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Ciccio Di Maria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Arrigo Fanfarone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Di Maria in the 66th minute of play forced Bavari's goalkeeper Arrigo Fanfarone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ciccio Di Maria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porrona's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciccio Di Maria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arrigo Fanfarone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 75 played minutes Porrona got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Garofalo. 84 minutes into the game, Bavari's Ercole Fallito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damiano Scarinci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 93rd match minute, Porrona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Moscatelli to maneuver through the defense. Ercole Fallito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Damiano Scarinci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bavari were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Porrona's much stronger midfield.
