The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Beppe Costanzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Guidoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davide Giordano in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ercole Rosini in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Guidoni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Rosini in the 13th minute of play forced Arnate's goalkeeper Alfonso Guidoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Guidoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davide Giordano in the 15th minute. If Ercole Rosini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvise Spitaleri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Potenza in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Federico Potenza notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barisano's Alvise Spitaleri. Alvise Spitaleri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Davide Giordano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Alfonso Guidoni made a huge save. After 25 minutes, Federico Potenza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arnate and the Barisano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Federico Potenza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Arnate's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Rosini came free, but Alfonso Guidoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Guidoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davide Giordano in the 31st minute. Alvise Spitaleri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Prato in the 34th minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Barisano got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Di Camillo. 35 minutes into the game, Davide Giordano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barisano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arnate the free kick. After 36 played minutes Barisano got a freekick which was hit by Davide Giordano. Cesare Violento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Davide Giordano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Arnate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ercole Rosini was the one to do the kick off. Federico Potenza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alvise Spitaleri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Davide Giordano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Davide Giordano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Federico Potenza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arnate's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Potenza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise Spitaleri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniele Prato during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Arnate got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Prato. 66 minutes into the match, Arnate's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Rosini came free, but Alfonso Guidoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arnate's goalkeeper Alfonso Guidoni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnate's Alfonso Guidoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Rosini in the 74th minute of play. Federico Potenza was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Arnate's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dave Castellani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Spitaleri having to interfere. With a little luck, Barisano's Alvise Spitaleri got control of the ball when Federico Potenza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dave Castellani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alvise Spitaleri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dave Castellani, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 91 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alvise Spitaleri was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Davide Giordano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes Arnate got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Violento. Barisano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Beppe Costanzo in the 98th minute. A nice corner shot did that Flavio Colombo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfonso Guidoni quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arnate walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
