With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achille Mandelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Attilio De Vito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Cerasoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ercole Longo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Eugenio Verdecchia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. The supporters of Rosário V booed when Volla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Verdecchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthony Monaco hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Amos Cerasoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfredo Riva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosário V's Achille Mandelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Riva in the 38th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Amos Cerasoli made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Volla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Cerasoli came free, but Attilio De Vito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Volla FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Rosário V. Ercole Longo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Attilio De Vito. 1-0. A collision led to Rosário V getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alessio Catena hit a great ball. A hard shot 64 in the game by Alfredo Riva from a close distance when the talented Achille Mandelli managed to make a qualified save. Rosário V's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Cerasoli in the 66th minute of play forced Volla FC's goalkeeper Attilio De Vito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alvaro Onori came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Rosário V fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Onori couldn't finish the play. Attilio De Vito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Onori in the 69th minute of play. Alfredo Riva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Achille Mandelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Volla FC got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Santagata. Ercole Longo struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Attilio De Vito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosário V. After 80 minutes, Anthony Monaco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volla FC and the Rosário V players grew even worse after the yellow card. Volla FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
