Dario Fioriti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Anfilogino Nanni made a huge save. A collision led to Corticella getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Arrigo Maiorano hit a great ball. Arrigo Cesare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Patrizi's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Alvise Sciascia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Nanni having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Dario Fioriti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anfilogino Nanni was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 86 played minutes Corticella got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Bertoni. In the 87th minute Alvise Sciascia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anfilogino Nanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anfilogino Nanni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise Sciascia, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Corticella's zone, Alvise Sciascia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anfilogino Nanni came out of the goal and Alvise Sciascia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
