After 4 played minutes Porporana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Mancini. After recieving a nice pass, Preganziol AFC's Domenico Corsi tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dario Fioriti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Prosperi having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Dario Fioriti put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anfilogino Prosperi. 12 minutes into the match, Preganziol AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Fioriti came free, but Anfilogino Prosperi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvise Sciascia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Anfilogino Prosperi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Prosperi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Napoleone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Porporana AFC's zone, Ciro Piscopo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arrigo Cesare came out of the goal and Ciro Piscopo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrigo Cesare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Antognoni in the 18th minute. Ciro Piscopo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Piscopo in the 21st minute of play forced Porporana AFC's goalkeeper Arrigo Cesare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porporana AFC's Arrigo Cesare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Piscopo in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Ennio Di Paola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Preganziol AFC and the Porporana AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Porporana AFC booed when Preganziol AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Di Paola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto Graziani hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Porporana AFC's Carmine Puddu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ciro Piscopo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Cesare having to interfere. Anfilogino Prosperi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Tatangelo in the 37th minute of the match. Ciro Piscopo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. Preganziol AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Anselmo Antognonis short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Arrigo Cesare to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anselmo Antognoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Cesare having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Anselmo Antognoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preganziol AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Antognoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arrigo Cesare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alvise Sciascia came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Porporana AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvise Sciascia couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dario Fioriti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arrigo Cesare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Piscopo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dario Fioriti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Piscopo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Arrigo Cesare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Preganziol AFC. Preganziol AFC's Anselmo Antognoni got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anselmo Antognoni came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Preganziol AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Antognoni couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Ciro Piscopo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Preganziol AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Piscopo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arrigo Cesare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciro Piscopo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Piscopo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Preganziol AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Piscopo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Piscopo in the 80th minute of play forced Porporana AFC's goalkeeper Arrigo Cesare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Franceschini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anfilogino Prosperi having to make a save. The supporters of Porporana AFC booed when Preganziol AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Di Lullo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvise Sciascia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Prosperi having to interfere. Preganziol AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Porporana AFC had controlled the match.
