A collision led to Cucciago getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Demetrio Martini hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Francesco Salomone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beppe Cappucci was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Beppe Cappucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Salomone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Alessandro Caracciolo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The supporters of Cimirlo booed when Cucciago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Martini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beppe Cappucci didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvise Rocchetti went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Francesco Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Carmine Frasca made the kick off in the second half. Beppe Cappucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio De Grandis in the 51st minute of play. Bruno De Carolis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Demetrio Taurino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno De Carolis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Demetrio Taurino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Demetrio Martini hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Bruno De Carolis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Salomone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosimo Di Prinzio hit a great ball. 79 minutes in the game Filippo Miranda got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal.
