The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Conforti got free with Emiliano De Gregorio in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Donato Bergomi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the game, Fedele Tiburtini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Civezzano AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Nicola the free kick. After a rather tough play, Civezzano AFC's Fedele Tiburtini got a free kick in the 14th minute. Fortunato Conforti succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 16th playminute. Antonio Borromeo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Eraldo Cameli hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Amedeo Savini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Fedele Tiburtini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Bergomi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Civezzano AFC's Fortunato Conforti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano De Gregorio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emiliano De Gregorio made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Fortunato Conforti sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Santa Nicola getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Antonio Borromeo hit a great ball. Civezzano AFC's Franco Granato shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Emiliano De Gregorio but with some difficulty. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Donato Bergomi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Civezzano AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Bergomi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano De Gregorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Donato Bergomi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano De Gregorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santa Nicola's Davide Nardone got a free kick in the 63rd minute.
