The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Raffa in the 8th minute of play forced Gardigiano's goalkeeper Carmine Albanesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Albanesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Raffa in the 9th minute of the match. Ciro Taraborrelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Fortunato De Simone made a huge save. Amedeo Raffa took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carmine Albanesi. Carmine Albanesi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alex Piano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes, Anthony Miconi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baglio Greco FC and the Gardigiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gardigiano booed when Baglio Greco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Miconi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmine Albanesi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Piano's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. When Diego Corsi fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baglio Greco FC's protests and gave Diego Corsi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Diego Corsi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Amedeo Raffa came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Baglio Greco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Raffa couldn't finish the play. Carmine Albanesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Piano in the 45th minute of the match. The Gardigiano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baglio Greco FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Aureli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute of the match, Alex Piano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carmine Albanesi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 58 minutes into the match, Alberto Aureli notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Baglio Greco FC's Fortunato De Simone. Fortunato De Simone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gardigiano's Ciro Taraborrelli got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Gardigiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmine Salvucci to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Taraborrelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato De Simone having to interfere. If Ciro Taraborrelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gardigiano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Baglio Greco FC for a fine match.
