Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 9 played minutes Tavernola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Uguccioni. The supporters of Avegno booed when Tavernola AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Lucente didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Fabiano Mancinelli from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Cesare Punta's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 14th minute Cesare Monti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Cala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Avegno's Andrea Iacovacci got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Avegno's zone, Flavio Volta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Cala came out of the goal and Flavio Volta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tavernola AFC's Cesare Monti got a free kick in the 24th minute. Fortunato Vitale hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, Avegno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Valeriani to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Angelici in the 34th minute of play forced Tavernola AFC's goalkeeper Cesare Punta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedele Angelici took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cesare Punta. Cesare Punta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Fortunato Vitale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Avegno's Cesare Punta threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fedele Angelici, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesare Monti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cesare Monti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fedele Angelici came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Avegno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Angelici couldn't finish the play. Tavernola AFC's Cesare Punta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Vitale in the 63rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Avegno defense, Flavio Volta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Cala. The Avegno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Cala should have stopped the shot. Cesare Monti struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Federico Cala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tavernola AFC. 82 minutes into the match, Tavernola AFC's Cesare Monti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Federico Cala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 90 minutes, Concetto Garibaldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avegno and the Tavernola AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Avegno getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Concetto Garibaldi hit a great ball. If Fortunato Vitale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Angelici blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesare Punta having to make a save. The Tavernola AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
