After a rather tough play, Cantonazzo FC's Fabio Burgnich got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Flavio Volta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cantonazzo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! With a little luck, Cantonazzo FC's Arrigo Del Grosso got control of the ball when Flavio Volta tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Florian Cicchini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cantonazzo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Cicchini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Arrigo Del Grosso managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Tavernola AFC's Flavio Volta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Florian Cicchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arrigo Del Grosso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesare Monti in the 39th minute of play. If Cesare Monti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Volta hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Fabio Burgnich kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Volta got free with Arrigo Del Grosso in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesare Monti was the one to do the kick off. After 57 minutes, Felice De Sanctis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tavernola AFC and the Cantonazzo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ercole Filippini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tavernola AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Aldo Fabrizi hit a great ball. When Concetto Masciarelli came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Cantonazzo FC fans jumped to their feet. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cantonazzo FC! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Tavernola AFC. Felice De Sanctis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arrigo Del Grosso. 3-1. In the 77th minute Cesare Monti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Del Grosso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tavernola AFC's goalkeeper Cesare Punta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Anfilogino Fioriti fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tavernola AFC's protests and gave Anfilogino Fioriti a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tavernola AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Anfilogino Fioriti hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cantonazzo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tavernola AFC.
