After having played for 7 minutes, Concetto Palmieri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamago FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Palmieri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gratosoglio FC's Ermanno Pala got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Augusto Totaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gratosoglio FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mamago FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gratosoglio FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Dario Lenci placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Anfilogino Iovine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Fracassi's late challenge caught a Gratosoglio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Fracassi helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Mamago FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Fracassi. Comunardo Anzolin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Quercia in the 19th minute of the match. Armando Selvaggi struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Felice Pelusi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamago FC. Felice Pelusi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Iovine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filippo Maiorano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anfilogino Iovine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice Pelusi having to interfere. Comunardo Anzolin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Quercia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felice Pelusi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Selvaggi went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Comunardo Anzolin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippo Maiorano in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camillo Quercia made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Mamago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Palmieri to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute of the match Cristiano Picca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Comunardo Anzolin skillfully saved the ball. In the 56th minute of the match, Armando Selvaggi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felice Pelusi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Armando Selvaggi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Felice Pelusi made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Anfilogino Iovine took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Felice Pelusi to make any attempt to save it. After 68 played minutes Mamago FC got a freekick which was hit by Carter Di Fiore. A collision led to Gratosoglio FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ermanno Pala hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Camillo Quercia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Comunardo Anzolin was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Gratosoglio FC defense, Armando Selvaggi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felice Pelusi. The Gratosoglio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felice Pelusi should have stopped the shot. Carter Taurino hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Anfilogino Iovine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Felice Pelusi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Iovine's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Felice Pelusi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gratosoglio FC's zone, Anfilogino Iovine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felice Pelusi came out of the goal and Anfilogino Iovine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
