The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Falcioni during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Murta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Franco Falcioni. Adriano Pizziolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Falone having to interfere. Anselmo Falone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Milani in the 7th minute of play. Dennis Milani struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Anselmo Falone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montorfano AFC. Cristoforo Brini made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Franco Falcioni sent off a good shot on target. Montorfano AFC's Cristoforo Brini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Montorfano AFC from getting a goal against them. Cristoforo Brini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franco Falcioni in the 20th minute. In the 21st match minute, Montorfano AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Picozzi to maneuver through the defense. Franco Falcionis short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Cristoforo Brini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Franco Falcioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Brini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Barillari in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Donato Tarantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristoforo Brini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Barillari in the 30th minute of the match. Dennis Milani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Anselmo Falone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Murta AFC defense, Adriano Pizziolo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmo Falone. The Murta AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anselmo Falone should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cristoforo Brini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franco Falcioni's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Ferdinando Barillari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Brini having to interfere. If Franco Falcioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Ferdinando Barillari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Brini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristoforo Brini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Falcioni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmondo Picozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Murta AFC's Ferdinando Barillari got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Montorfano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando Barillari came free, but Cristoforo Brini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Montorfano AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
