But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonello Battisti couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Dossena during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Concetto De Leonardis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Biagio Romino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Salvagnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonello Battisti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ercole Salvagnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Giovannelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Fontana in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Biagio Romino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Ercole Genta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Franceschi spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Lumellogno AFC's goal. Volpiano AFC's Dino Marziali suffered a concussion in the 37th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 38th match minute, Lumellogno AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Brunelli to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Antonello Battisti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Salvagnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Alfonso Franceschi made the kick off in the second half. Ercole Salvagnin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Battisti in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Volpiano AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Comunardo Fantauzzi hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Volpiano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Battisti came free, but Ercole Salvagnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alfonso Franceschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th play minute Concetto De Leonardis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ercole Salvagnin. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonello Battisti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ercole Salvagnin. That made the score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Antonello Battisti lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Ercole Salvagnin. Comunardo Fantauzzi struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Dario Giovannelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Dario Giovannelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ercole Salvagnin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Battisti in the 92nd minute of the match.
