Fedele Terrasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Losito, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Salona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fedele De Felice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Terrasi having to interfere. If Concetto Paolucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Arturo Bevilacqua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Bevilacqua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Sarzano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Marcucci to maneuver through the defense. Attilio Frezza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Di Sipio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Adriano Di Sipio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Concetto Paolucci in the 34th minute. A collision led to Sarzano FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Beppe Piola hit a great ball. Arturo Bevilacqua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sarzano FC's Eugenio Genta got a free kick in the 39th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Bevilacqua was the one to do the kick off. Eugenio Losito ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Bevilacqua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Adriano Di Sipio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sarzano FC's zone, Concetto Paolucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Di Sipio came out of the goal and Concetto Paolucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugenio Losito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Terrasi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Losito got free with Fedele Terrasi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Eugenio Losito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fedele De Felice got free with Fedele Terrasi in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Concetto Paolucci came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Salona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Concetto Paolucci couldn't finish the play. The Sarzano FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
