Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Franco Bocchi took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Arrigo Coletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mellaredo getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Francesco Lucente hit a great ball. Carmine Goffredo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ferdinando Combi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arrigo Coletti in the 9th minute of play. Ferdinando Combi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Bocchi went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Giorgi got free with Filippo Castronovo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th match minute, Calvari FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Di Fiore to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Giorgi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arrigo Coletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinando Combi having to interfere. Fabio Pasinati hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ferdinando Combi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Bocchi in the 31st minute of the match. Emilio Giorgi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Filippo Castronovo made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Scutti during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aldo Scutti kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Mellaredo got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Scutti. In the 47th minute, Emilio Giorgi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellaredo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
1-3 became the score in the 53rd minute when Franco Bocchi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Franco Bocchi struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Ferdinando Combi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calvari FC. 60 minutes in the game, Arrigo Coletti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ferdinando Combi having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Dino Passerini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calvari FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mellaredo the free kick. Dino Passerini kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The Mellaredo fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Mellaredo's Emilio Giorgi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Mellaredo's Eugenio Marchetti got a free kick in the 68th minute. Arrigo Coletti struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ferdinando Combi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calvari FC. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Calvari FC's goalkeeper Filippo Castronovo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Domenico Profeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Castronovo having to interfere. Emilio Giorgi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Francesco Lucente fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellaredo's protests and gave Francesco Lucente a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Francesco Lucente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Calvari FC booed when Mellaredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Scutti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arrigo Coletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinando Combi having to interfere. Filippo Castronovo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Profeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Francesco Lucente was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. After 97 played minutes Mellaredo got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Lucente.
