Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cosimo Lopez kicked off to start the match. Anselmo Cocca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Fedele Giammarino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Lancia struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ferdinando De Feo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catena. 13 minutes into the game, Catena's Dennis Oddi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferdinando De Feo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Aranova getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Armando Meo hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Catena got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Lancia. A hard shot 27 in the game by Anselmo Cocca from a close distance when the talented Fedele Giammarino managed to make a qualified save. Catena's players were relieved. After 31 played minutes Aranova got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Caroli. In the 34thth minute of the game Dennis Oddi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aranova's Ferdinando De Feo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angelo Lancia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Oddi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Oddi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Anselmo Cocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Giammarino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Cocca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fedele Giammarino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Fedele Giammarino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Cocca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Oddi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Lancia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ferdinando De Feo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fedele Giammarino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Meo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Fedele Giammarino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cosimo Lopez went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
