The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antonello Masci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Ennio Scoca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Trebbio AFC's Eugenio Rosi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Antonello Mascis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Ennio Scoca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dino Masetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennio Scoca having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Antonello Masci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ennio Scoca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frank Santilli hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes, Trebbio AFC's Anselmo Marinelli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ennio Scoca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trebbio AFC reached it. Antonello Masci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennio Scoca having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 51 minutes, Dino Masetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trebbio AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Masetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trebbio AFC's Antonello Masci got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Demetrio Del Grosso's late challenge caught a Trebbio AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demetrio Del Grosso helped the player get up and apologised. Demetrio Del Grosso hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Antonello Masci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Scoca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Masetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fortunato Della Torre might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Giardini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fortunato Della Torre ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dave Biscotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Giardini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fortunato Della Torre in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Dave Biscotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Giardini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Casal Borsetti FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Trebbio AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
