Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fausto Cusumano kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Alessio Disastro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristoforo Torri. The goal made the score 1-0. When Arrigo Andreassi fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magnago's protests and gave Arrigo Andreassi a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Magnago got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Andreassi. Alberto Egger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Achille Renzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Cristoforo Torri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arrigo Andreassi's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Emanuele Placidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Achille Renzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achille Renzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Egger in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Villagio Olandese Mira Maurizio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciccio Antognoni to maneuver through the defense. If Alberto Egger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
With a little luck, Magnago's Achille Renzi got control of the ball when Alberto Egger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Villagio Olandese Mira Maurizio FC's zone, Corrado Iovine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristoforo Torri came out of the goal and Corrado Iovine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes Villagio Olandese Mira Maurizio FC got a freekick which was hit by Elia Di Meo. In the 72nd minute, Amos Albertosi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Egger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Achille Renzi having to make a save. Magnago's Achille Renzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Di Meo in the 76th minute of play. When Arrigo Andreassi came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Magnago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arrigo Andreassi couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Arrigo Andreassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magnago's supporters rose to their feet, but Arrigo Andreassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Torri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arrigo Andreassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Alberto Egger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Achille Renzi. Alberto Egger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
