After some careless play in the Ne defense, Biagio Nero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Falone. The Ne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Falone should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Ne's Frank Tatangelo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Comunardo Stragapede narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruciato FC's Comunardo Stragapede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Tatangelo in the 35th minute of play. Dino Napoleone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Falone having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Biagio Nero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. When Frank Tatangelo fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ne's protests and gave Frank Tatangelo a yellow card for diving instead.
