When Christian Micucci came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Basovizza AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Micucci couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Micucci in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Toppi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aldo Tocci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Angelo Sivieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavazzoli's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Sivieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Mandelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Tundo in the 25th minute of play forced Basovizza AFC's goalkeeper Cristoforo Mandelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Basovizza AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Emilio Martano hit a great ball. Franco Tundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Mandelli having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Cavazzoli's Angelo Sivieri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Mandelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Basovizza AFC booed when Cavazzoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Rossini didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Basovizza AFC's Daniele Cerrone in action when he in the 36th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After 40 minutes, Emilio Martano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basovizza AFC and the Cavazzoli players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Basovizza AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Martano. After having played for 43 minutes, Aldo Tocci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basovizza AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Tocci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aldo Tocci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franco Tundo made a kick off. Fausto Sorrentino hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Basovizza AFC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 53rd minute of the game, when Daniele Cerrone after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Cavazzoli's goal. Daniele Cerrone was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Angelo Sivieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Micucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Toppi having to interfere. If Angelo Sivieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Bergamini struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Cristoforo Mandelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavazzoli. After 70 played minutes Basovizza AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Martano. Christian Micucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Toppi having to interfere. In the 75th minute Christian Micucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Toppi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Sivieri in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo Mandelli saved Basovizza AFC from getting behind. Cristoforo Mandelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Sivieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Sivieri in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristoforo Mandelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Cavazzoli's Antonello Toppi got control of the ball when Aldo Tocci tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aldo Toccis short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Antonello Toppi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Franco Tundo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Cavazzoli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Tundo couldn't finish the play. Angelo Sivieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Mandelli having to interfere. Cristoforo Mandelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Sivieri in the 95th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
