Concetto Giampieri started the match with the kick off. Comunardo Improta struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Alessio Serra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmeola AFC. In the 9th minute, Arrigo Manzoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Attilio Donati made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciccio Massimi in the 15th minute. If Ciccio Massimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Massimis short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Attilio Donati to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Attilio Donati stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciccio Massimi's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Comunardo Improta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Improta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alessio Serra having to make a save. Sorbara's Alessio Serra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Improta in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Arrigo Di Lillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarmeola AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 45th minute, Arrigo Di Lillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Sarmeola AFC's Attilio Donati got control of the ball when Ciccio Massimi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Comunardo Improta in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessio Serra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the game, Alfredo Santalucia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarmeola AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorbara the free kick. In the 57th match minute, Sarmeola AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Santalucia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Giampieri in the 61st minute of play forced Sarmeola AFC's goalkeeper Attilio Donati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Edmondo Clemente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Achille Giovannelli sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Alessio Serra threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Achille Giovannelli this time. Comunardo Improta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alessio Serra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davide Iachini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sorbara's Alessio Serra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Improta in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Arrigo Manzoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sorbara's Ciccio Massimi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessio Serra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Improta, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Alfredo Santalucia kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmeola AFC's goalkeeper Attilio Donati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Sarmeola AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Beppe Panino hit a great ball. The Sorbara supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sarmeola AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Sarmeola AFC.
