With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Giannetta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Betlemme's Corrado Abete got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 46 played minutes Armando Caporale rounded Betlemme's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carter Sciamanna to make the kick off. Ercole Carlini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Sciamanna in the 56th minute of the match. Carter Sciamanna hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Alex La Marca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Armando Caporale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ponticelli's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Caporale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Giannetta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Carter Sciamanna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ercole Carlini, 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Betlemme eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
