Alexander Facchetti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 2nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Beppe Gaeta. Pozzi AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Enzo Barresi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Christian Costanzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pozzi AFC's Beppe Gaeta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Pozzi AFC from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Enzo Barresi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Costanzo. Palese FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Barresi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Christian Costanzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enzo Barresi went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Fabrizio Chitarroni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Costanzo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Pozzi AFC's goalkeeper Beppe Gaeta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciccio Borromeo. In the 38thth minute of the game Fabiano Di Fazio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palese FC's Christian Costanzo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute Damiano Manzoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Gaeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Pozzi AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damiano Manzoni to strike the kick off in the second half. When Palese FC's Damiano Manzoni in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 78 minutes, Enzo Barresi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pozzi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Barresi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pozzi AFC's Beppe Gaeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio Borromeo in the 81st minute of play. Armando Guidone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Beppe Gaeta. Pozzi AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Borromeo in the 92nd minute of play forced Pozzi AFC's goalkeeper Beppe Gaeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Enzo Barresi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Fabrizio Chitarroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pozzi AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
