After 11 played minutes Rapallo got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Scatena. When Enzo Barresi came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pozzi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Barresi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Rapallo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alfredo Morelli hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Enzo Barresi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pozzi AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Edmondo Cicchini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beppe Gaeta was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ciccio Pennetta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Beppe Gaeta. Pozzi AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Edmondo Cicchini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Gaeta having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Edmondo Cicchini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Gaeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Pozzi AFC's Beppe Gaeta got control of the ball when Enzo Rossini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th of the match, Edmondo Cicchini tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Beppe Gaeta got in the way and made a wonderful save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
