Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fabiano Palone got the match started through his kick off. 9 minutes into the match, Demetrio Pierucci dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrea Altobelli, 1-0. Fabio De Sisti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Palone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Monte Donato FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Carter Berardini hit a great ball. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monte Donato FC's goalkeeper Fabio De Sisti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match Filippo De Angelis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabio De Sisti skillfully saved the ball. Fabio De Sisti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Palone's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Pegli got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Ruggieri. A hard shot by Ercole Restaino from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Andrea Altobelli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Felice Sansoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pegli booed when Monte Donato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Berardini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Garofoli, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fabio De Sisti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Palone, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Domenico Ruggieri charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenico Ruggieri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Domenico Ruggieri hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Demetrio Pierucci recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Andrea Altobelli. Demetrio Pierucci showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0.

Felice Sansoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Pierucci in the 57th minute of play forced Pegli's goalkeeper Andrea Altobelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Monte Donato FC's Felice Sansoni made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrea Altobelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrea Altobelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Demetrio Pierucci went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Monte Donato FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ennio Tullo hit a great ball. Eraldo Lucchetta's late challenge caught a Monte Donato FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eraldo Lucchetta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pegli's Eraldo Lucchetta got a free kick in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Pegli's goal looked a bit too open when Felice Sansoni came free, but Andrea Altobelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felice Sansoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Andrea Altobelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Demetrio Pierucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Altobelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Demetrio Pierucci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrea Altobelli was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. When Eraldo Lucchetta came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Pegli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eraldo Lucchetta couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Pegli's Eraldo Lucchetta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio De Sisti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eraldo Lucchetta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Monte Donato FC had won after a very even match.
