Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arturo Palone took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Frank Savoia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Di Meo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bulgaria's Claudio Coscia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Palone in the 7th minute of play. Bianco Helfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Di Liddo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Di Liddo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, Torrete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Riva to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes Torrete's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amerigo Burelli who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Alberto Bonfigli to score against Donato Di Meo in Torrete's goal. 1-0 after 28 minutes. If Arturo Palone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torrete's Arturo Palone got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Savoia to make the kick off. Cristiano Di Liddo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Donato Di Meo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54thth minute of the game Cristiano Di Liddo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torrete's Donato Di Meo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristiano Di Liddo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Savoia struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Donato Di Meo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulgaria. After 60 played minutes Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Motta. 64 minutes into the match, Bulgaria's Cristiano Di Liddo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Di Meo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Bulgaria booed when Torrete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Giardino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Frank Savoia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torrete's Donato Di Meo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto Masci hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Donato Di Meo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Savoia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Bulgaria's zone, Amedeo Riva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Coscia came out of the goal and Amedeo Riva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Dino Puddu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Coscia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Palone, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bulgaria fans cheered their team off the field, for while Torrete had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
