Tavernola San Felice's Adriano De Angelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Tavernola San Felice from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Goffredo during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tavernola San Felice getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Emilio Goffredo hit a great ball. Adriano De Angelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Mangione in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tavernola San Felice's zone, Domenico Eleuteri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano De Angelis came out of the goal and Domenico Eleuteri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ennio Vani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alfredo Leggeri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cormano's Domenico Eleuteri got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carter Guarisi during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Cormano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Ruggeri to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Cormano defense, Ennio Vani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Leggeri. The Cormano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Leggeri should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 51st minute, Alfredo Ruggeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Ennio Vani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Scarpa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes Tavernola San Felice got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Di Iulio. Adriano De Angelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Mangione, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beppe Masi during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adriano De Angelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Mangione, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Scirea hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Ermanno Ragusa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adriano De Angelis. Tavernola San Felice's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alfredo Leggeri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Scarpa in the 78th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Cormano's Ermanno Ragusa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Domenico Eleuteri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermanno Ragusa went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cormano's corner Ermanno Ragusa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adriano De Angelis quite easily take care of the ball. The Tavernola San Felice players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
