Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Tondi in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriano De Angelis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Tavernola San Felice's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Tondi came free, but Adriano De Angelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Scarpa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Di Santo having to interfere. If Alfredo Santucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Bassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Antonello Di Santo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ennio Vani went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 62 played minutes Casier got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Ferri. After a defensive mix-up in Casier's zone, Ennio Vani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Di Santo came out of the goal and Ennio Vani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Santucci was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Casier's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Adriano De Angelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Tondi in the 74th minute of play. Adriano De Angelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Tondi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Alfredo Santucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bruno Scarpa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tavernola San Felice's Ennio Vani in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bruno Scarpa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Di Santo having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Casier walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
