Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Damiano Battisti got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute of the match, Enzo Manzoli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fedele Talone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alfonso Ciccarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Battisti in the 10th minute of the match. Alberigo Colelli kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Damiano Battisti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Attilio Manzoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Carmine Sardella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Manzoli in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedele Talone saved Betlemme from getting behind. Damiano Battisti scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfonso Ciccarelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugenio Serantoni hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Frank Collovati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Ciccarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Cristoforo Scarpa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Betlemme and the Castelnuovo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristoforo Scarpa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Beppe Verdone hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Damiano Battisti took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Ciccarelli. Alfonso Ciccarelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 47th minute Damiano Battisti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Ciccarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damiano Battisti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Enzo Manzoli made the kick off in the second half. Castelnuovo's Alfonso Ciccarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Castelnuovo from getting a goal against them. Attilio Manzoli might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fedele Talone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attilio Manzoli ran back to his position shaking his head. Castelnuovo's Alfonso Ciccarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Castelnuovo from getting a goal against them. Ennio Facchetti in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alfonso Ciccarelli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 67th match minute, Castelnuovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Marongiu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ennio Facchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Betlemme's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Facchetti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Ciccarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Attilio Manzoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Talone having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Castelnuovo's goalkeeper Alfonso Ciccarelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ennio Facchetti. In the 80th minute, Ennio Facchetti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Betlemme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Damiano Battisti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Castelnuovo booed when Betlemme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberigo Colelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fedele Talone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Manzoli in the 92nd minute of the match.
