Attilio Silveri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Masi having to make a save. Antonio Masi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Silveri in the 8th minute of the match. Antonio Masi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ennio Balestra went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Armin Chioda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Toto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Chioda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonello Toto came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Bertesina's Armin Chioda. But to his dismay, Armin Chioda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Bertesina getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Fedele Talamo hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedele Talamo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Sciamanna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cussignacco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bertesina the free kick. Antonello Toto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ferdinando Tagliente. Eugenio Bassani's late challenge caught a Bertesina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Bassani helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Cussignacco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Bassani to maneuver through the defense. When Fedele Talamo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Bertesina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Talamo couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes of play Cussignacco FC's Cristoforo Sciamanna was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 59 played minutes Cussignacco FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Sciamanna. Cristiano Busillo charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Busillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antonio Masi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Balestra in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Attilio Silveri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cussignacco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Silveri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Armin Chioda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
