With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Cesaroni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damiano Di Vito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Azzolina having to interfere. Damiano Di Vito scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Azzolina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Diolaguardia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Di Vito came free, but Franco Azzolina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesare Cesaroni came out of the goal and Alberigo Perna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Filippo Desiderio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cesare Cesaroni. 86 minutes into the match, Diolaguardia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Di Vito came free, but Franco Azzolina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Caionvica booed when Diolaguardia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Carbonetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Augusto Altobelli made a precise shot to the right of Franco Azzolina. Diolaguardia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
