The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Fortuna helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cotignola getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Marinasco's goalkeeper Christian Rocchetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camillo Bergamini. Camillo Belfiore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Melfi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Diego Piermattei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciccio Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciccio Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Marinasco getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ciccio Valente hit a great ball. During the 39th minute of the match Ciccio Valente completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ciccio Valente a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ciccio Valente hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Camillo Bergamini struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Christian Rocchetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cotignola. Christian Rocchetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Grandis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Anfilogino Grandis made the kick off in the second half. Camillo Bergamini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Christian Rocchetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Marinasco's Diego Piermattei got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Anfilogino Grandis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Alfonso Alleva notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Marinasco's Christian Rocchetti. Christian Rocchetti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Piermattei got free with Camillo Belfiore in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amerigo Vida's late challenge caught a Cotignola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amerigo Vida helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Marinasco got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Vida. Diego Piermattei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Belfiore having to interfere. If Fortunato Placidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felice De Felice charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felice De Felice the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marinasco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cotignola a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Donato Zarillo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marinasco's Christian Rocchetti. 2-0. When Fortunato Placidi fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marinasco's protests and gave Fortunato Placidi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marinasco's Fortunato Placidi got a free kick in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cotignola had won after a very even match.
