Cornaredo FC's Alessio Pietrini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Cornaredo FC from getting a goal against them. After 20 minutes of play, Cornaredo FC's Angelo Di Florio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Castellazzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Castellazzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Barducci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Barducci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dino Barducci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Angelo Di Florio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Polenta's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Di Florio came free, but Alberto Castellazzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Barducci in the 47th minute of play forced Polenta's goalkeeper Alberto Castellazzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Melucci was the one to do the kick off. Anselmo Melucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute Dino Palumbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Pietrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Cornaredo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Garibaldi came free, but Alessio Pietrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dino Palumbo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Polenta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Palumbo couldn't finish the play.
