Ettore Firmani's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Cristoforo Costacurta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 5 minutes into the match, Castel Bolognese's goalkeeper Cristoforo Costacurta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ettore Firmani. 6 minutes into the match, Monte Maggio's Elia Finocchi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Costacurta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armin De Cesaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ermanno Giammarino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ermanno Pardini, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ermanno Giammarino was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Armin De Cesaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermanno Giammarino having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Castel Bolognese got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Sergi. Cristoforo Costacurta came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Monte Maggio's Ettore Firmani. But to his dismay, Ettore Firmani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience was convinced that Ermanno Pardini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermanno Giammarino was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Armin De Cesaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ermanno Giammarino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elia Finocchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Armin De Cesaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristoforo Costacurta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippo Ottaviani in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd minute, Felice De Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Elia Finocchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Costacurta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Elia Finocchi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cristoforo Costacurta, passed just outside the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermanno Pardini made a kick off. Castel Bolognese's Cristoforo Costacurta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Firmani in the 52nd minute of play. Castel Bolognese's Franco De Sanctis got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Franco De Sanctis off the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Castel Bolognese:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Monte Maggio:s goal. Ettore Firmani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Costacurta having to interfere. Cristoforo Costacurta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elia Finocchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ermanno Giammarino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Castel Bolognese's Armin De Cesaris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermanno Giammarino narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
