Attilio Maurizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Cipolla having to interfere. If Frank Vespucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alvaro Fabri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Pelliccioni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Fabri in the 44th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermanno Rossi in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achille Pelliccioni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Attilio Maurizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Casalino walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
