Dino Piccirilli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Ceccarelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Gorla Minore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Romagnoli came free, but Alexander Iacovella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Alberigo Magno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alberigo Magno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberigo Magno to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberigo Magno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Piccirilli having to interfere. Cesare Verna kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Rio Saliceto FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Reggianini. The crowd rose to their feet as Gorla Minore FC's Alberigo Magno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dino Piccirilli. That made the score 1-1 after 61 minutes of play. Rio Saliceto FC's Dino Piccirilli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Saliceto FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute of the match Alberigo Zangari shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Iacovella showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Signoretti in the 73rd minute of play forced Gorla Minore FC's goalkeeper Alexander Iacovella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Rio Saliceto FC's Ferruccio Signoretti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Iacovella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Gorla Minore FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rio Saliceto FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
