Amos Muto's late challenge caught a Paperino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amos Muto helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes CSKA Moscardelli got a freekick which was hit by Amos Muto. Frank Grimaldi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristoforo Capuozzi in the 48th minute. 49 minutes into the match, CSKA Moscardelli's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Ricciuti came free, but Frank Grimaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Tozzi to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Demetrio Vani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA Moscardelli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demetrio Vani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute Cristoforo Capuozzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Grimaldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristiano Tozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Ricciuti in the 79th minute of play forced CSKA Moscardelli's goalkeeper Frank Grimaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CSKA Moscardelli's Frank Grimaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Ricciuti in the 81st minute of play. Frank Grimaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Ricciuti in the 91st minute of the match. Arrigo Giacchetti's late challenge caught a CSKA Moscardelli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
