In the 3rd minute, Fortunato Ricciuti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Concetto Lozzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristoforo Ciaccia, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A collision led to Paperino FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Enrico Spiazzi hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Antonello Pich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Ritacco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Antonello Pich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Capuozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo Cacciatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosimo Di Mascio hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Enrico Spiazzi, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The supporters of Paperino FC booed when Poggioreale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Panella didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Paperino FC's Enrico Spiazzi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Concetto Lozzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Ricciuti in the 45th minute of play. Ettore Cavanna charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ettore Cavanna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ettore Cavanna kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Enrico Spiazzi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Enzo Cacciatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Paperino FC's goalkeeper Demetrio Ritacco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antonello Pich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Ritacco having to interfere. If Cristoforo Capuozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demetrio Ritacco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Poggioreale FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paperino FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
